Car Audio Forum - Technical Help > Lincoln Ls

So I just purchased a AVIC X910bt and I am looking at the instructions and I was a bit confused about the pink wire. Where do I attach that wire to? I asked the shop I bought it from and they were like dont worry about it, well I am and hopefully you can answer me this because the instructions do say its essential for the navigation. Can you please tell me the locationo the wire....

The pink wire is the vehicle speed sense wire (VSS). its not "required" for the navigation to work, but it will slightly increase the accuracy of your location.

If you tell me what year your Lincoln LS is i will tell you where to find the vss wire on the car.

okay its a White wire located at the body control module under the hood. I can't find any info on where exactly the BCM is but it should look like a small metal box. when you find the wire test it with a meter to verify that its the correct wire. set the meter to DC voltage and you should get a flickering as you start driving.
