      Adding the closed cell foam plus mass loaded vinyl, as used in this build, really did wonders for making the midbass come alive in my car. Cutting and boosting on the EQ and using lots of power helped, but the sound barrier was the missing link.  less

    I went to radio shack and found a car charger with changeable bits that worked with the pure, then i got a new socket and hooked it up to a switched source in the fuse box and tucked it away behind the dash.

    I have the same car as you man, I have done sooo much trial and error with that car. Now I have 2 jl10w3 ported with the port on the side and the subs facing the trunk. They sound really good, but next i am building a bandpass box with 2 ports each going through the rear speaker holes. But I do like how it sounds sealed off in the trunk. You should maybe try to port it through the ski pass
