Remember the old days (for me at least being 19) when you had to get a double casette player to record music off the radio? Media and technology has come so far in only a few years.

I'll agree that Apple's iPhone changed the mobile phone completely, but today, the iPhone can't compete with newer Android devices. Apple's biggest problem, is that they already have five models of iPhone. Five that look almost completely the same. Sure, they added 4G connectivity; which they were late on doing so. A front facing camera; which they were also late on. They also constructed different body housings; just like they did with the Macbook Pro; the "uni-body" design. People went crazy over that, they went out and bought it just because it was one single constructed piece of metal. Now to get to the point, and some of these go for iPhone specifically, and some for mobile phones in general. I'll start off with what almost everyone wants; a bigger screen. Now some people will say "The iPhone screen is beautiful, no matter how small it is." That may be true, but take a look at the Motorola DROID X; the screen looks amazing-and that came out way before the iPhone 4 and 4S. Now use that phone for a while, and go back to using event the newest iPhone 4s; the screen now lacks something right? I'm not saying that the Motorola DROID X is the best phone ever, but you get the point; I'm just using it as a reference. Another thing that needs to be integrated with every smartphone out there, a USB port. Now this might sound stupid to some people as the port will make the phone bulky, but a USB port is very slim. How many times have you taken pictures and wanted to get them to your computer? You either have to send them to your email or upload them to some social networking website and then save them from there, but what if the pictures are private to you, you don't want anyone to see them until maybe you edit them. With a simple USB port, this port can be directly connected to the micro sd card or internal memory only; or even both. You may have different opinions, but if a USB port on a phone would make my life easier, i know it would make many others' as well. I've been hearing rumors about the next iPhone having the "no-glasses" 3D capability. In my opinion, sure 3D on a phone is cool, but when will it ever be useful? I just see it as a waste of research and time when they could be using those resources on something else. Oh, and the loading of YouTube videos on the iPhone; I'm not sure whats going on with that still, but even with being connected to the same WiFi or mobile network, every android phone I've had or seen loads it way faster than the iPhone. You're probably wondering why I'm posting this to my Facebook instead of writing this to Apple or some other company, and that is because anything said on a social networking site will spread faster than one letter wrote to a company who now thinks they are better than everyone else and that they need no one's help. The loss of Steve Jobs will and may have already affected the way Apple does business.  less

They still have ~27% of the smartphone market last I heard, and no other company has such wild speculation about what features will come on the next big release. Android phones and the iPhone can co-exist. Trying to talk someone into switching camps is a waste of time. I heard something funny about this from Roberty Coyle, Pioneer's US product trainer. "How do you know if a customer has an iPhone? Wait 2 minutes and I guarantee they'll tell you."  less

And i know its a solvable problem because microsoft even had a lawsuit against them from bundling internet explorer with xp, netscape and opera were the ones who sued them for it. honestly, i do prefer android over iphone, but id love to see apple pull something out of their ass thats different than their first iphone.  less

All of the iphones are very similar, they don't even come with gorilla glass or any type of fortified glass for that matter. When other other companies start catching up and copying, apple should push even harder to innovate. What do they do? Increase a few specs and charge you a new $299 for the same thing year after year.

So now ive got actual plans, ill go with you guys advice on the type Rs, 2 of the 12s. dual 4 ohm so I can wire them down to 1 ohm requiring only 1 amp. Ive done this thing with an existing box, I took the bottom half of the seat out of my car so the subs sit where the seat used to be and its level and secure now, then I just built a faceplate that runs from door to door and from the floorboard to the top of the box. so with all this work done now, im not gonna change it all. there will be another piece of wood on the top and the sides to make it look like one big box and look professional, its also gonna be wrapped in black vinly because I have all black leather. Now the box, it isn't an every day ported box, its in the style of the JL audio high uotuput boxes that they made for the w7s, but this one houses 2 12s. Ill post pictures of progress, plus the inside of the box is red, so the type Rs would look pretty sick  less

I have alot of ideas and plans for a tahoe from eatchign steve meades videos, im not gonna got hat big but some things he does are really neat and prefessional looking. I was definatly going for undetr the window line also. I want a nice vehicle that i can ride around in and just slam everywheres, down here in lousiana, thats the thing to do. We really dont do sprinters and stuff and id only do that if i was going inot competitions. But usually whtaver i get isnt enough for me. Ive been goign throught he lower end best buy kinda shit so i think thats why. But i am starting my new job soon and i dont really have too much bills, so most of it will go to a tahoe and audio input. Thank guys, and i will keep you all updated on the build when i get started, it might be soon, it might be years from now, but i plan to do it soon. Thanks again guys for all the input.  less
