The box that i had it in was a 7 year old box i got for free. It literally blew apart with my thin type R. LOL. I put it in a much larger ported box with a bigger amp and it sounds probably 5 times as loud and a lot more crisp. Im very impressed with this sub. I had a old rockford 550 watt amp that was actually only pushing 300 peak and about 150 rms. Ive got a mrp-m500 now and its pushing 450 peak and about 300 rms.

If you look at the pictures, the holes are only in the flat pans, and are between all of the structural frame parts of the cab. I still cant see any company attempting this unless they have a certified welder to do it. I think your best bet to do it is to go to a welding shop, tell them exactly what you want to do, and get them to make the steel box. From there im sure soundman wouldnt have a problem doing the rest. Dont take what im saying for truth though, i dont work for soundman, or even live in the same country. You should probably give them a call.  less

  • Scooter Carver Hey guys I have a question.  Is it possible to change out the head unit in a 2011 or 2012 Dodge Journey?  I'm seeing some people saying no that the HVAC controls are operated by it but in the pictures I'm seeing, the controls are below the screen of the unit.  The actual radio unit itself, is tucked back in behind the HVAC controls apparently, and that screen is just that, a screen.  Do any of you shop owners or custom builders have any experience with these yet?  Just wondering cause my wife and I are looking at vehicles.  Thanks!
