Hey what amp would go better for a 12w7 HO box in a 2005 300c. Ive been hearing different stories for each the shop I go to says the 750/1 would sound real good and other audio forums say the 1000/1 would be best. I want clean bass but I also want to get the most out of my h o box.

JL Audio plans to discontinue the slash amps soon. The hd amps will replace them. and they are waaayyyyy better. i've worked a lot with the hd 750/1 and it would have no problem running the ho w7. they are also coming out with a hd 1200/1. im not sure when though.

If its in the HO box you will perform that speaker to its max with a 750hd or even with a 500/1 because its in a ported box and in theory ported boxes are 20% more efficient than sealed. JL audio does most of its testing on sealed boxes because for the most part thry are one of the leaders in sound quality subs (besides companies like zapco and morel). If you ask me go with the 750 Hd sounds really good, a shop that I hangout alot in installed that exact setup in a trailblazer, LOUD! If your going to do that makesure to invest in a new car battery to prevent future problems
