  Good day all,

  I am an extreme noob when it comes to car audio. I was hoping to find some online courses to get me started on this. Does anyone have any tips on where a guy can start learning the basics? any help is appreciated.

  there are a bunch of how to videos and articles throughout the web, youtube, 12volt.com, diymobileaudio.com. also not to mention this site. I am by all means no pro at this, but i can tell you that online courses arent exactly what you want. You need to get out there and try it on your own car and slowly move on to friends and families. practice and try new things!

  One of the most important things is to learn the basics of electricity and how it works in the 12V realm. This means the flow of electrons in a circuit, Ohm's law, and it all expands from there to applying it in the car. I can't stress how important it is to understand Ohm's law because it's the foundation of everything electrical. These two topics can easily be searched online and there are countless resources ranging from highly scientific in nature(which is easy to write for an expert) to clearly explained in language a novice can relate to(very difficult to master this style of writing).

  Best way to learn is always going to be experience, but make sure to learn as much as you can before you start working on something. If you don't almost all the time you will find yourself with one issue or another.
