  I am pretty much a novice when it comes to wiring and installing stereos. I just purchased the Pioneer AVH-P330BT for my 350 Z to replace my old Clarion unit I installed myself 5 years ago. I would like to use the relay to bypass the parking break requirement for video. I have watched the youtube video for the AVH-4200DVD and am unable to figure out if they run a ground for the head unit from the relay or is it spliced into the wire feeding from the head unit before it gets to the relay box. I hope my question is clear. Thanks for your help.

  I've done it both ways. The relay draws so little power that its ok to just tap into the ground wire for the headunit

  So dumb question but on the bypass videos they always use a double pole relay but they never use pin 87a so can I just use a single pole relay?
