Were to put a sub???

hey my mate owns a 2006 Holden VZ Crewman UTE and i was just wondering if there is a way to fit a sub in this car.

there is a little compartment under the rear seats but idk if u can make a custom box for under seat and how would i be able to do this

So us Americans have no idea what the inside of that car looks like...but I do know that's it's kind of a 4 door el Camino based on the GM Zeta platform, so of the rear seats are anything like the Pontiac G8 then I'd say no a sub under the seat isn't going to happen...but maybe behind the rear seat would work, I'd just get the dimensions of preloaded boxes like the Alpine 8 type R, thin type R, the upcoming JL TW3, a single 8w3, ect. And break out the high tech measuring table and make a cardboard replica and see if it will fit. Hope that helps

If the seat cushion rests directly on top of those two rectangular slots and the surface around them, it's not possible to fit subs in there.

I'm not sure if the fuel tank is located here too, or anything else that may obstruct potential floor modifications necessary to make it possible.

What does the area behind the seat's back rest look like?

If there's no room behind the seats , then you could ditch the rear center console and put a 6w3 in there the box is around .15 ft^3 sealed...or what I would do if it were me, would be to put a pair of badass 8"s in the front doors and have a 4 way active front stage :) there's the JL ZR800cw, Hertz SPL show SV800L, the hybrid Audio Legatia L8, and morel makes a 9"...I'd go with the Hertz or Hybrid

I was about to suggest getting a flat woofer, like JL TW5, Polk MM series, or similar, and make a flat box to go under one of the front seats, if there's space for it. Also, I like Brad's 8" suggestion, and am planning on doing something like that myself, with a pair of SEAS Lotus RW220 8.5" sub-ish woofers.

EDIT: Just spoke with a friend, who knows that car better than me, and he says there's not much room behind the rear seat backs, so a flat sub under one of the seats or Brad's 8" suggestion would be the only two options confirmed to be viable here.

From what I can see, the rear seat cushion is one piece, and not three. However, if I'm wrong, there's a third option: Convert the car from a five-seater to a four-seater, and build a centre arm rest for the rear seat with built-in subwoofer and cup holders.
