Best all-round double din 7" touch screen

Hey guys, Most of us would agree its really down to Pioneer or Alpine when it comes to headunits. But what all-round is the best? For under the $1000AUD I'm after one that has bluetooth Ipod/iphone intergration full 7" touch screen. Not nessacerly with NAV. What are your thoughts?

Also i have been looking at JVC KW-AVX846NAV but dont know alot about JVC.

Brad will say Alpine INA-910BT, I will say Pioneer Z130BT.

They are both great units, but given this is the time of the year new product is announced I'd wait to check out new product. Pioneer announced the Z140BH and Alpine announced a new unit as well (i forgot the model).

If you don't have great excpectations and don't want to splash a lot of cash you may look to an older Alpine's HU like IXA W407BT.It has all that you want and you may find it in good price.My advice would be to wait until new models are released.New techs are always more intriguing...

Haha I would have said w910 until yesterday...honestly this years double dins were pretty bad IMO, I'd wait for the ones released yesterday to be out and reviewed. I really like the new Pioneer AVH-P8400BH, it looks like a great unit for the price, and has the app mode built in like the app radio so you can do nav from your droid or iphone or even ipod touch with hotspot but actually has high quality sound components...,alpine has 3 new 6.1" units on the way along with their giant 8", the new kenwood 9990 looks sweet too but way to expensive in comparison...I would steer you away from JVC for sure

Yea te 8400 also has a completely removable faceplate. Dual USB,etc

Awesome. Thank for your input guys. ill go check them out. Thanks brad for the comment about JVCi was not 100% about them but you have made my mind up with that one. HAHA

If your looking for something more budget minded, once again, I would wait until this years' units are out then pick somthing up on clearence, and yes I'd reccomend the W910especially becasue Nav isn't your main concern, which is the w910s downfall, plus the w910 has optical out for a bit one or other processor which is mainly why i like it, but I also think it sounds the best standalone compaired with the others on the market. JVC isn't terrible, but do you really wan't a JVC on your dash? haha maybe if it was still 1994...

What are people's thoughts on pioneers App radio 2? I was really liking the first one and was very close on getting it but now I'm thinking on getting the 2..?

I like the other double din units that have all the app radio features built in and come with 4v pre outs among other upgraded audio features...but If SQ isn't a main concern the appradio is a great option for the price and i think they worked out allot of problems with the 2nd gen from what I saw at CES...I wouldn't buy an appradio 1, and I'd wait for the 2 to be out for a few weeks b4 I'd buy it becasue you know that just because its a "phone accessory" every tech site will have reviewed it

What other pioneer HU's have app radio built in with 4v pre outs? Most of the 2012 models?

if you look on pioneers website its says in the brief description if it has the app features built in, i think it was x940,z140,p8400bh,maybe the 4400

I don't know why but I'm having problems finding some of the part numbers on some of the units you guys are telling me about. I do live in Australia so would that make a difference?
