  What sub does everyone think is the best 8"? Forget price and value, performance is the #1 priority. 8w7? 8 type R? 8w3? ES200?...what about others? This will be in my '11 Boss 302 stang, under the roll cage where the rear seat once lived. so 8's are a must.

  Oh I forgot about the focal but that sub is just not for me, I love an 8w7 but it's a heavy beast of a sub that needs a big box for an 8, I can't decide...I'll probs go with a sealed 8w7 on about 500w

  I have no expirence with any of those, Imma look them up...do they all lean towards SPL? I'm more of an SQL guy

  HAT makes an 8" midbass driver for sure...not sure how sub bass'y it is...im going sealed to save as much space and weight possible, so box design is pretty straight forward, I usually follow manufacture's box specs fairly close any way, but for me subs lean 1 way or the other...like the w1 is pure SPL sounding and a w6 is pure SQ sounding, but a w3 is somehwere inbtween but leaning toward spl...ya feel me?

  the box that peter from pwk designs did for a dd 8 was small and was design for a flat response

  gotta love a CRX haha, that box was really small...I have a friend not too far from me who is DD crazy I'm sure he can demo one of these for me..Thanks!
