  Hey guys, I just want some opinions on my Ipad install.  I'm in two minds whether to leave it like this or change the design.  The car is a 2010 Kia Cerato Koup....called a Forte Koup in the US.  I'm not entirely happy with the top piece.  I tried to re-create the same 'hood' that protrudes out over the tacho and speedo, however my version is a bit more chunky and I'm not sure I entirely like it. 

   

  I'm thinking of removing it all together and just tapering the dash back from the top of the iPad frame, so the top of the dash would be squared off with a slot to make the iPad removeable.

   

  Please check out my album for some more pics.  The final piece will be sprayed just like the factory radio, so it will have the same grey/silver colour on the sides and gloss black in the center and around the Ipad frame. The groove in the plastic will separate the colours.  Click on pics for bigger version....

  How do you slide it in and out? It looks good and clean man. I say just finish it off and you're good to go, but that's me. What are you going to do to finish it? Paint?

  It slides in and out through the top. Yes I'm going to paint it in the same colour scheme as the factory radio, gloss black in the middle, grey on the sides.
  
  Well last night I decided to get rid of the overhang and cut the top off......I think it looks a lot cleaner now that it is squared off...I'll post pics later on.

  Went with a new design....it's now easier to get ipad in and out and also looks a bit more streamline IMO, just have to make the fibreglass top piece.
