yeah mate that silver surround will come off so you can unplug the ipad and take it out
cheers doug its getting there. have an image in my head of what im wanting it to look like just trying to take my time make sure i get it right. once i get the ipad bit up and running il work on the rest of the system which includes a 19" screen in the boot that will raise when you open the lid showing a mirror of the ipad screen
