Is there a simple way to upgrade the factory 8" woofer? If i was looking into system expansion, which Bit product would be best, and should i retain the speaker setup, or simply go active 2-way? I really dont want to tinker too much with the car, but i know bose just cant compare to my standard systems.
In a recent Amplified, two jl subs were thrown into the same model TL i have on an Audison 5.1. Doig, wondering how the signal was sent to the amp. And how tough is it to design a blow-through box into the facotry sub location like in the episode of Amplified? less

I'm upgrading to an Istreamer on my iphone/future ipad2 set up..... moreI'm upgrading to an Istreamer on my iphone/future ipad2 set up..... Currently I am using the Scosche IPAVC cable and have it tied in through my Jeeps R.A.P so the music plays til I open a door.... Any advice on how to hard wire the Istreamer into the same function... Should I just wire the streamer into the harness like I did with the Scoche cable or should I tap into the cigarette lighter and into the harness any help would be greatly appreciated

Thats why I wanna kinda stick to a product like Bit, Cleansweep, or the new JBL MS-8. Plus I like the clean interior...wouldnt want to disturb the flow. But I like the idea of the Voce/Hertz setup! Seems to be popular these days, so it must sound stunning!

If they are dual 4, there are plenty of options for amplifiers out there that produce 2k+ at 1 ohm to use on both subwoofers wired in parallel. If they are single 4 ohm, it limits your choices for ohm/power ratio. There arent many amps that make big power at 2 ohm if the subs were wired parallel. If they are single 4 ohm, you could use only one sub and bridge it on a larger 2 channel, which will still be a costly amp with those specs. As far as enclosure, this style of stroker responds well in larger ported boxes. I would probably use at least 3 cubic feet after displacement and tune to your preference, but probably best to stay in the upper 30 Hz range. less
