Why I am in it.

What is it that can move someone to the point of tears? Literally punch you in the emotional gut, then turn your emoition to a moonlit night with your gal on the hood of your car at the park with the flick of a beat?

What is it that can pull people together, and also has power all over the world ? Pushing it's way into you with a suttle nugde, or maybe pounding into you with the force of a jet fighter that has just hit the deck of the aircraft carrier!

MUSIC!
Power over the world is to timid a phrase when describing the ultimate language of the universe. It speaks to all nations, races, and bloodlines. It can lift your spirit, and it can beat you down. When artists want you to feel their joy, sadness, anger, frustration, whatever their mood, they release themselves into their notes. At times with the force of the cosmos, it vibrates your very soul. Like words from the all mighty himself.

Music has always had a concrete foundation in my life. Raised in the singing family of our community, I was taught to carry a tune well before the age of 9. Wether it was at church in the chior, or at work with my dad, there was always singing. Being that my Father was the recording professional of my home town for many years, I had the blessing of being surrounded with audio equipment since birth;  the shear mechanics of it all flored me.  I remember the wine and clicking of the reel to reel as it spun from one track to the other. The hum of the tube amplifiers as they warmed up, waiting to be pushed (by me) to their limits.

We used to sit in the recording room listening to recorded tracks, as Dad would explain the characteristics of the room, and the ambience of the sound. How it could make me feel like I was inside a concert hall, and the voicals would seem 40' in front of me as the rest of the mixture would surround me. The harrmonies and purcussions of the drums, and a little detailed note played on the triangle would come out of the corner of the room. It felt like the grandstand band was setup in the family room next to us. Horns of brass sprayed their tune, and powerful crashes of symbals would explode without warning sometimes shaking me to my core. And as we would listen I would look up to my Father and he would say "Now that son, is purity of sound. Clean crisp and authoritive." He always had an ear for clarity, and started my training as an enthusiast of fine audio, at a very young age.

So, Why am I in it?     Why do I bust my ass to bring out the artists message? The best way to explain it is, I was born to do this. Nothing has ever brought me such joy, and such a sense of accomplishment as watching the clients eyes as they hear for the first time, the purity of the music. I am in it to bring everyone arround me the simple joy of hearing, feeling, and being moved by the sound that envelopes us. It can be heard, it can be felt, and it can be seen.
Now that you know where I am coming from know this. I am committed to bring out the best in everyones setup, as best I can through information, action, and the love of the industry.

ROCK ON! AND KEEP IT LOUD!
